Lovely, lovely, lovely. This girl sings The Muse “the CeviHarp way”, using my cover. Soooo cool :)

I just received an e-mail from YouTube with a video response to my cover of The Muse by Darren Criss and found this.

I cannot believe that this girl decided to make a cover of my cover. I’m absolutely speechless and cannot be more grateful. It really touched my heart.

So a lovely girl asked me via Twitter how to get the audio from my harp cover of The Muse by Darren Criss, and I thought of sharing the link here so you can download it too.

Ok, I feel bad about your dashboards, so this is my last video about my first StarKid day.

I know, I know. This is not exactly StarKid. But I also found this video a year ago. And he’s an important part of this awesome team. Considering that I’m a musician, the composers of the songs of AVPM are really important to me (don’t forget A. J. Holmes, folks!).

After checking Darren’s channel, I watched a lot of videos of him singing live (I also found Charlene Kaye, oh yeah!).
And I really loved all his songs and covers and realized that he’s insanely talented, but this video just blew my mind. Why? I don’t know. The song touched my soul. I’m still wondering the reason and I have no answers.
I thought that it was really deep and mature. And the melody itself is so bittersweet… It’s full of feelings, and I just was so amazed that couldn’t stop watching this video again and again.

I was about two weeks obsessed with it. It’s something that sometimes happens when I fall in love with a song. I need to listen to it a million of times and find every single detail, every single note and sound, to understand it and just… Well, I think you can call it my “thirst for music”.

Oh, all the interesting things that happened when I decided to create a version of The Muse to be playable on harp… But that, my friends, will be told on January 17.

This is a great way to start the year. Joe, why are you so awesome and hilarious??

Adam A. from Israel asked me a day ago to use my cover of Darren Criss’s song The Muse in one of his videos. I let him and he just sent me a link to see it.

Too much love for these 500 502 subscribers.
Since I created my account (October 2007) to January 2010 only got 7 subscribers. The rest of them have come mostly because of “Darren’s video response” craziness and the StarKid covers.

I can’t be more grateful to these 500 502 people and those who have helped to achieve this.

Thanks for being the first people in the world to enjoy and be interested in my music.

Someone tell me that I can watch/listen to the whole performance somewhere, because I really, really need it. Do you know if this is gonna be up on Youtube or something similar?

The choir, my goodness… Perfection.

I promise I’m not forgetting all the suggestions for covers that people tells me or leaves in the moderator module, on my YouTube channel.
I’ve even practiced a lot of them, and really liked how they sound. Anothers are pretty impossible to play on harp, but I’ll try anyway.

If you knew… I have like 5 covers almost done and every day I try to play like 3 differents songs (sometimes I fail miserably, sometimes they sound pretty well).

So yeah, just give me time to record all this stuff. Because I am going to record it. But I wanna do it in the best possible way. So, like I said, I need time.

Also, I know that the majority of my subscribers are StarKid fans (and I love you all, guys!! you are amazing!!) and they wanna hear more StarKid songs covered by me, which is a huge honor, really.
Well, I don’t like to give false hopes or anticipate what I have in store for you, but there are a lot of people asking me, so I’m gonna say quickly: Yes, I have more StarKid covers for you and I plan to do a lot more.
And for Darren Criss fans: Yes, I also have some “not-Starkid-songs-by-Darren” that I hope to record some day.
I just don’t wanna have a “StarKid & Darren covers channel”. I hope you all can understand. I love their music, but I like to play more things! Anyway, like I said before, don’t feel bad about this because I’m sure you’ll hear more covers by me of their music. I love their songs, so I just can’t help playing them.

And for the Disney fans: are you kidding me?? Of course I’m gonna do more Disney covers! I’ve already done a couple more, but didn’t record them.

There are some Glee fans that are also becoming interested in my channel, and some of them have already asked me to play, and I’m gonna quote, “Teenage Dream Glee Version for Darren???? <3” (by triplethreater888). It’s funny because before I knew about Darren being on Glee, I tried to cover that song (Katy Perry’s version, there was still no version by Glee) on harp. It sounded well, so maybe I practice it more and record it. But I’m still not sure, so I’m not going to give you false hopes.

So, yeah. I just needed to tell you all this because I don’t wanna look like someone who doesn’t care about what people wanna hear me play, or doesn’t read all the comments, suggestions, messages… Because I really do! And some of them are pretty awesome, btw.
